Another garden featured in the publication had a fire pit and barbecue, as well as a decked area made from reclaimed scaffold boards. A rug and some throw cushions help make it feel more relaxing.

Last month, Ideal Home revealed that garden makeovers are one of the most popular home improvement projects in the UK. The magazine noted that 20 per cent of homeowners want to do some work on their outdoor space.
